Brisbane\u2019s new median property price now sits at <strong>$883,357<\/strong> - the median price for houses has risen to <strong>$974,025<\/strong> while units have risen to data-adplugg-zone=\"brisbane_buyers_agents_body_\"><\/div>While prices across the city continue to grow, Brisbane\u2019s property market is very much a tale of two cities \u2013 while some areas overperform, others underperform.<\/p>\n<p>The worst-performing segments of Brisbane\u2019s property market are high-rise apartments, properties in blue-collar areas, and new housing estates.<\/p>\n<p>These are areas where young families are likely to have overextended themselves financially.<\/p>\n<p>I expect that some of the high-rise apartment towers in and around Brisbane\u2019s CBD, which were already suffering from the adverse publicity of structural problems prior to Covid-19, will now become the slums of the future as they are shunned by both homeowners and investors.<\/p>\n<p>When a market enters a new phase of the property cycle, we usually see a flight to quality properties and an increased emphasis on livability, so this is what we can expect from Brisbane over the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>That explains why we\u2019re seeing robust demand for A-grade homes and investment-grade properties, particularly in lifestyle locations, with many growing substantially in value.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notes\"><div class=\"notes-inner\"><span class=\"icon\"><picture><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"
